GOD COME TO SAVE US FROM SIN

“ This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.  Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.  But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said,
“Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins.” ( Jesus  means the Lord saves.)

Christmas is Celebration of God Becoming Man

God is love (1 John 4:8). God’s love is fully revealed in Jesus, who became man. We celebrate this God became ‘man’ in Jesus on Christmas day. The Bible says,“.. the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father (John 1:14).
John called Jesus “the Word” here and said that the Word (God Jesus) became flesh (man) and dwelt (lived) among us (Disciples and believers), full of grace and truth; we (Disciples) have beheld(seen/witnessed) his glory, glory as of the only Son(God the Son, Jesus) from the Father (God the Father ).

Jesus Saves His People From Sin

Many people regarded Jesus a good teacher and a great prophet and not more than that. Before, Jesus was born the Angel of the Lord told Joseph about the child to be born (Jesus) that  “He WILL save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1: 21).
Jesus is a ‘Saviour’. He was born to “save his people from Sin.”
Whom will he save? He will save His People.
Who are ‘His People’?

Celebrate Christmas to Glorify God

Christmas is coming. Let us celebrate the coming of our ‘Saviour’.
Let us share the story of Christmas - the wonder of angels singing, and the majesty of three kings visiting the Christ child in a manger.
Mary “ …gave birth to her first-born son.(Luke 2:7).

God Can Do Everything:

Mary wonder how she could conceive without having relationship with man. But, after hearing how God can do wonders, she believed and accepted whatever God might do to her. Mary says, “I am the Lord’s servant, May your word to me be fulfilled.”
God was pleased with Mary. He blessed Mary with a child and she born ‘the Saviour’. Mary became the mother of the Saviour of the world.
God sends His messengers every now and then. He gave you the Bible to read. You have heard the message of Gospel through God’s messengers and the Bible. Received the message and accept what God prpose to do in you as Mary did. Then, the Saviour Jesus Christ will save you and you will become ‘the blessed child of God’.
God bless you.

Story of the Disciples of Jesus :

The New Testament gives us an account of the deaths of two of the apostles
— Judas and James.
Judas, who betrayed Christ for thirty pieces of silver, committed suicide by hanging
himself.
James, the son of Zebedee, was put to death by the sword, probably beheaded in Jerusalem around 44 AD. According to tradition, he died after preaching the Gospel in Spain.
Andrew is reported to have journeyed to Scythia, the region north of the Black Sea, now part of the Soviet Union. More certain is his preaching in Asia Minor (modern day Turkey) and in Greece where he was said to have been crucified.

A Saviour is Born

The angel of the Lord Gabriel told Joseph that his fiancĂ© Mary will have a son and will be called  ‘Jesus’, which means ‘saviour’ :
The Angel says to Joseph,  “She will bear a son, and you are to name Him ‘Jesus’, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21).

Jesus Was Born to Defeat Satan

Celebrate Christmas! Celebrate the birth of Jesus to defeat Satan and his power!
Celebrate the Victory of Jesus! Celebrate the Victory of Good over Evil!
Since the fall of man, God promised that an offspring of woman ( the messiah - Jesus Christ) will crush Satan. God said to Satan (serpent),
I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel." (Genesis 3:15)

Know the Voice of God

God is the Creator, preserver and sustainer of the universe. He created us and everything in the universe. He loves us and blesses those who love Him as He loves us. It is a privilege to hear the voice of our Creator, to listen to His voice that tells us His will and plan for us. But, according to the Bible tells, only those who belong to Him can hear and recognize His voice.
Jesus says, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me" (John 10:27).
‘Those who belong to Jesus (God)’ are the ‘Children of God’ (John 1:12) and people who have ‘eternal life’ (John 3:16). They are  people who have believed and received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. These believers have been saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

The Good Message of Christmas “The Word Became Flesh”

In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD was GOD. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through HIM, and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came for testimony, to bear witness to the Light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness to the light.

Jesus was Born to Save His People

“what is conceived in her(Mary) is from the Holy Spirit, she will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:20-21).
“HE will save his people from their sins.”
The name Jesus means, “The Lord saves.”
None of us can save ourselves. Jesus alone can save us.
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
The Bible means :

God Become Man To Overcome Death

Death is real, no one can overcome it. Even the strongest, conquerors, emperors, can not stand against it.  No one is strong enough to overcome sickness and death. No, not one, when the time come.
Health and Wealth brings no permanent peace in the mind of every individual.

You Can Become the Child of God

You can become God’s child by receiving His Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Because, God sent Jesus to restore the broken relationship between God and man.
But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God.”(John 1:12)
Jesus has already paid the penalty for your sin and offers a full pardon (forgiveness). This is a gift, not something you have to earn by being good. Like any gift, it is free; all you have to do is accept it and make it your own.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord..” (Romans 6:23).

Why Must We Celebrate Christmas

We celebrate Christmas every year on December 25 as the birth date of Jesus.  Because, Jesus was born to atone for our sins. He died so that we may become ‘the Children of God by believing Him (John 1;12). He died but rouse again and is alive today and for eternity. All believers who received Him will have eternal life (John 3:16). In His death and resurrection, all believers become the family members of God and will live eternally with God.

CHRISTMAS IS TO THANK GOD FOR GIVING US JESUS TO MAKE US THE CHILDREN OF GOD

Man is liable to the influence of the power of supernatural evil forces till one receive the ‘presence of Almighty God in heaven’. These evil forces cause ill-health in men and women -- physically, mentally and spiritually. As such, many men and women have been trying their best to avoid or do away with the evil forces by religions, rituals, tricks, such as animal sacrifices to gods or goddesses, magic, black magic, and many other ways. But no one can be saved by religion, different practices from evil forces and eternal condemnation, which is the result of man’s sin (disobedience of God’s command).

Only God Can Save Man From Sin

Only God Can Save Man from Sin
Man Can not Earn Salvation:
The Bible tells us that man can not earn salvation through good work but it is a free gift of God through faith.   The reason is :
a. God is Holy. Man must be holy to live with Him. ( Leviticus 11:45; Numbers 15:40; 1 Peter 1:16 ).
b. Man is sinner and fall short of the glory ( and holiness) of God. (Romans 3:23)
c. Man Can not Do Good Work: All man are sinners deserve the punishment of Holy and Righteous God, as the wage of sin is death (Romans 6:23) As sinner, man cannot do any good work. Every good work man do has an underlying motive of self-centeredness and self-righteousness (Psalm 14:1-3; Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:12).

GOD CREATED YOU TO GLORIFY HIM

God created us to glorify Him. But no man can glorify Him without His help. God knows our weakness very well, He, therefore, wants us to help us. He wants to bless us with His spiritual blessing so that we may glorify Him in everyway. We cannot receive His help without having a close relationship with Him.

Let Your Light Shine Before Men

Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life” (John 8:12). The Lord Jesus gives all of us the “light of life.”

What a Great Mother Mary is !

Dr. Luke write :  " But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart." (Luke 2:19)
Mary, the mother of Jesus kept in mind all that had happened - since the angel of the Lord appeared to her and up to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Not only that, she also might had witnessed the what happened on Pentecost and the spreading of the Gospel with the increasing Churches. She might have read other books about Jesus by others. Therefore, she must have opened up many of her treasured up stories and events) to a well educated writer Dr.Luke that revelation of Mary enabled Dr.Luke to write details account of the birth and related events in Jesus' birth, life and ministry.

GOD CREATED EVERYTHING GOOD AND IF NOT GOOD IT MUST BE DESTROYED

The opening line of the Holy Bible tells us that God is the Creator of everything :
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)
God is the Creator, who created heavens and earth and everything in heavens and on earth.
The Creator created everything with a purpose. He created everything to be good and glorify him. Therefore, after he created, he looked at what he created and said “good” every time he created.
God was pleased with what he had created as the Bible says:
And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31)

God is Waiting for You

God waits you. He wants that you go to Him when you die. You don’t know when you will die. It may be sooner or later. It is up to God. Your life is in His hand. He loves you and wants that you go to Him in heaven and not to hell when you die. He, therefore, spare your life till today that you may receive eternal life by receiving His Son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
God loves every of us. He wants that all of us receive His blessings here on earth and eternally after death as His children.  Only His children receive His blessings abundantly. One become God’s child when he received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour (John 1:12)

God Always Open the Door

World Authorities Have Visiting Time But God Always Open the Door
Kings, Prime Ministers, Presidents, Governors, all Political leaders, even officers have special time as ‘Visiting Time’ for the public. But God always open the door. He is always ready to hear what His children says to Him.
Human authority is limited. That’s why, human rulers and leaders are tired of and need rest.
God is All Powerful, All Knowing, Everywhere Present and All in All. He created everythings on earth and in heaven out of nothing. He can always create anything He wants and can undo anything if He wish to. He can give anything His children ask if He is please to and can always help. God never tire and need no rest.
Talking to God is called ‘Prayer’. We can approach Him and talk to Him in prayer, anytime and anywhere. He is gracious to hear our prayer. The Bible says,  “How gracious [the Lord] will be when you cry for help! As soon as He hears, He will answer you.” (Isaiah 30:19b)

Everything Will Change When Jesus is Born to You

Prophet Isaiah said  that God had humbled some as He humbled humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future, when Jesus Christ born, God he will honour all nations even those neglected by other nations. God will honour even Galilee though the Israelite neglected them as if they were untouchable nations. God will honour every individual and nations that honour Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Purpose of Life

Why you were born? Why is our life like this?  – many problems, physical and mental sickness, ups and down, and ultimately to die. Nothing we will carry when we die! Give Thanks

Many persons complain most of the time.  God does not want us to be complainers. He rather God wants us to be thankful always. He lets you live and give you life and many more.
God says through Apostle Paul, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
This is because, He loves us. He wants to be positive. Being thankful makes our life brighter. It even eases suffering and gives us perspective.

Salvation is a Free Gift From God Through Faith

Salvation Cannot be Earn. :
The Bible tells us that no one can earn salvation and peace with God through good works.God is perfect in holiness, and His standard for those who desire to be in His presence is perfect holiness as well (Leviticus 11:45; Numbers 15:40; 1 Peter 1:16).
Even single sin is a violation of the law and an act of rebellion against the God who created everything, so we are all guilty and subject to the righteous wrath of the infinite God.

God Reveals Himself and His Plan in the Bible in Special Way

This means, the Word of God is the guide for man to know God and tells us  how to live a godly life. Let us discuss the reason briefly below:

5 Benefits of Memorizing Scripture

By Joy on Oct 30, 2014; From the series Prayer Letter
Scripture: “...Take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God” Ephesians 6:17
In spiritual battle, you must use God’s Truth to fight the lies of the enemy (Satan). Jesus used scripture to fight Satan’s temptations in Matthew 4. Here are five ways that memorizing scripture will help prepare you for Spiritual Battle.
1. Your Desires Change
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)
Focusing your mind on God’s Word will cause your desires to line up with God’s desires. You will start becoming more like Christ, which will produce Godly characteristics in your life such as love, peace, and purity. (Philippians 4:8)

Faith in Jesus Christ is the Only Way to be Saved

We can do nothing to be saved from the wrath of God. The only way is to be saved and relate to God is faith in Jesus Christ.
The Bible says, “For “no human being will be justified in His sight” by deeds.”(Romans 3:20a)
That, “The one who is righteous will live by faith” (Romans 1:17b);  “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast”(Ephesians 2:8-9).

Westminster Shorter Catechism

The Shorter Catechism was written in the 1640’s by English and Scottish Theologians.  Along with the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Westminster Larger Catechism, it was one of the most important documents to come out of the Reformation.  For centuries, various reformed denominations have used the Westminster Confession and Catechism to instruct their members for hundreds of years..  The shorter version was particularly valuable for new converts and children.

The catechism is composed of 107 questions and answers. The first 12 questions concern God as Creator. Questions 13-20 deal with original sin and the fallen state of man’s nature. Questions 21-38 concern Christ the Redeemer and the benefits that flow from redemption. The next set of questions, 39-84, discuss the ten commandments. Questions 85-97 teach concerning the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. The final set of questions 98-107 teach and explain the Lord’s prayer. This organization mimics the earlier Heidelberg Catechism of the continental Reformed churches.

Story of Creation in the Bible

Genesis 1
In the Beginning - The Creation
1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 1:2 Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.

1:3 God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 1:4 God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness. 1:5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” There was evening and there was morning, one day.

If You Die Tonight

If You Die Tonight, What is the next? Are You Afraid? Don’t Pretend, Solve the Problem Better.
There is no security in life. Man dies every second. No one can save your life, when your turn come. Doctors and live-saving drug can save only savable life.
Death doesn’t care young and old. Death doesn’t have sympathy on the beauty either.
Do you have any fear in your mind to die? Please, don’t pretend. Fear in your mind is ‘the calling of your spirit’.

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; 2 this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him." 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."”

Believers Have New Life

When you heard the message of salvation in Christ and believe in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit starts working in you. The Bible says:
"In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory." Ephesians 1:13-14

Why is the World in Trouble?

All of us have soul.
Physical death is not the end of everything. There is life beyond earth.
After your body die, your soul will go to any one of two places - heaven or hell.
Heaven is the place of God with all its blessings.  Hell is a place of punishment, a lake of fire.

Salvation is Only Through Faith in Jesus Christ

There is nothing we can do to be saved from the punishment of sin and enter in heaven. The only way we can be saved and become the children of God is by having faith in Jesus Christ and received Him for our personal Lord and Savior.
The Bible says " Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.”(Galatians 3:11)

Be Sure of Your Salvation in Christ

Many Christians are not sure of their salvation. They are doubtful even after they ask God to forgive their sin and asking Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Saviour. You may also be doubtful of your salvation. Believe in God and His words in the Bible. The Bible is the written word of God.

What does it mean that God is omnipresent?

The prefix omni- comes from the Latin meaning "all." So, to say that God is omnipresent is to say that God is present everywhere. In many religions, God is regarded as omnipresent, whereas in both Judaism and Christianity, this view is further subdivided into the transcendence and immanence of God. Although God is not totally immersed in the fabric of creation (pantheism), He is present everywhere at all times.

Westminster Confession of Faith

The Westminster Confession of Faith, drawn up in the 1640s by an assembly of 151 theologians (mostlyPresbyteriansandPuritans) at Westminster Abbey, is the standard of doctrine for the Church of Scotland and many Presbyterian churches throughout the world. Several other denominations, including Baptists and Congregationalists, have used adaptations of the Westminster Confession of Faith as a basis for their own doctrinal statements. In each case, the Westminster Confession is considered subordinate to the Bible.

The Westminster Confession of Faith is a systematic exposition of Calvinism, written from a Puritan viewpoint. It was originally drafted to reform the Church of England and to unify the various Christian sects in England at that time. The document addresses doctrines such as the Trinity, the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus, sola scriptura, andsola fide. The full Westminster Confession of Faith can be foundhere.

The Westminster Assembly first convened in 1643, and the Confession was published four years later. Also at that time, the Assembly produced two other important documents, the Westminster Larger Catechism and the Westminster Shorter Catechism. The Shorter Catechism contains 107 questions and answers concerning God as Creator, original sin and man’s fallen nature, Christ the Redeemer, the Ten Commandments, baptism, Holy Communion, and the Lord’s Prayer. The structure of the Westminster Catechism follows the earlier Heidelberg Catechism (1562) of the continental Reformed churches. The first and most famous of the questions in the Shorter Catechism asks, “What is the chief end of man?” The answer is “Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.” The Westminster Larger Catechism can be foundhere, and the Shorter Catechismhere.

From about 1537 Protestant Reformed groups in Europe had seen the need to draw up their own formal doctrinal confessions. This need arose in England after King Henry VIII broke with the Church of Rome in 1536 and the 1545 convening of theCouncil of Trent, which marked the beginning of today’s Roman Catholic Church. Under the rule of England’s Charles I, many Puritans in England dispersed, and civil war broke out in 1642. The Puritan parliament then called a church synod—the Westminster Assembly–to lay the foundation for a Reformed Church of England. The resulting document did not solve all the religious and political strife in England, but it did provide a brilliantly written and influential statement of biblical doctrine. The Westminster Confession of Faith is considered by many to be the best statement of systematic theology ever framed by the Christian church. As an attempt to “correctly handle the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15), the Westminster Confession of Faith has stood the test of time and remains a prime doctrinal standard for Protestants and evangelicals everywhere.
