“what is conceived in her(Mary) is from
the Holy Spirit, she will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name
Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:20-21).
“HE will save his people from their
sins.”
The name Jesus means, “The Lord saves.”
None of us can save ourselves. Jesus alone
can save us.
“Salvation is found in no one else, for
there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved”
(Acts 4:12).
The Bible means :
1.
Jesus was born to save His people from
their sins.
2.
To be saved, one must be Jesus’ people
3.
No other people than those of Jesus
will not be saved
Now who are the people of Jesus?
Since Jesus was born from the Holy
Spirit, He is God. And “all who believed in Him are the children of God” (John
1:12)
Therefore, “all who believed in Him are
the children or people of Jesus, who will be saved from sin. Those saved are
forgiven of their sin by God and have eternal life. (John 3:16) But all who
does not believed in Him are already condemned (John 3:17)
Hope you believed in Jesus Christ and
received Him as Lord and Saviour. If not yet, received Him now. Call on Him in
prayer. Ask Him to forgive your sin and make you God’s child.
