In love he(God) predestined us for adoption to
sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his
glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One
he loves. (Ephesians 1:5-6)
Some Feminists assume ‘sonship’ here
exclude women. This is not true. For God, and in spiritual life, there is no ‘male’
or ‘female. Here ‘sonship’ is based on man’s tradition ‘man’ as inheritance of
Father’s property. All believers are adopted through Jesus Christ as ‘children
of God’ (john 1;12) having the right to inherit the ‘Kingdom of God’ with the
fullness of God’s glory, as a human ‘son’ has the right to inherit his father’s
property.
When you believed and received Jesus
Christ as Lord of your life, you become God’s child and not just as ordinary
child, but you become ‘adopted son to inherit God’s Kingdom and all the glory
of God in Christ.
You may be human woman. But in days to
come, when you are taken up to live with you Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, you
become more than human son, but will inherit sonship of God the Father in
Heaven.
