Jesus knew the time for
His death come. He knew the Father had put all things under his power. He had
come from God and
was returning to God. So, washed His disciples’ feet, drying
them with the towel. But when Simon
Peter said to him,
“Lord, ….No,……you shall never wash my feet.”
Jesus answered, “Unless
I wash you, you have no part with me.”
“Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not
just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” ( John 13:3-9)
When my Lord Jesus
helped understand the meaning as I read these verses, I screamed silently as if
speaking to Peter and said “ Well said, O Peter, Simon Peter !” and prayed to
Lord Jesus,
“Lord, was me too, wash
all my body and soul, wash me with your precious blood”
Then, I felt comfort
and joy in my deepest heart and praise the Lord.
Friend in Jesus, remember,
you have no place in the Kingdom of God, if Jesus do not wash you with His precious
blood !
So, pray like Peter,
“Lord, wash me. Cleanse me of all my sins
in your precious blood that you shed on the cross for my shake. Forgive me of all
my sins. Be my Lord and Saviour. I surrender my life and everything in your
hand. Control and direct my life. Always be with me in the Holy Spirit.”
When you pray like this
earnestly, Jesus will cleanse you. He will forgive you and make you Gos’s
child. You will start living godly life with the help of the Holy Spirit. You
will be happy and start enjoying life with the blessings of God.
