God
is the Creator, preserver and sustainer of the universe. He created us and
everything in the universe. He loves us and blesses those who love Him as He
loves us. It is a privilege to hear the voice of our Creator, to listen to His
voice that tells us His will and plan for us. But, according to the Bible tells,
only those who belong to Him can hear and recognize His voice.
Jesus
says, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me"
(John 10:27).
‘Those
who belong to Jesus (God)’ are the ‘Children of God’ (John 1:12) and people who
have ‘eternal life’ (John 3:16). They are people who have believed and received Jesus
Christ as Lord and Saviour. These believers have been saved by God’s grace
through faith in Jesus Christ.
In
other word, those who hear God's voice are those who belong to Him. Jesus
compared these believers with sheep who hear and recognize their master’s
voice, because they know Him as their Shepherd.
In
short, to recognize God's voice, one must belong to Him.
We, the people after Jesus days, are the luckiest persons. We need not hear the audible voice of God to know his will. Jesus lived, died and roused from the dead. He taught the word of God and His teaching was recorded by His blessed followers. The written records were compiled in a book called ‘ the Bible’. Thus, we have the complete Bible to read and study the Word of God.

The
Bible tells us that the written words of God in the Bible are ‘the inspired
words of God’ :
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is
useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so
that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2
Timothy 3:16-17).
Therefore,:
1.
The Bible is the Scripture, sacred
book in which one can learn the instructions of God
2.
The Bible is the God-breathed or
inspired words of God
3.
The Bible is useful for teaching God’s
will and plan
4.
The Bible is useful for rebuking
those who do wrong
5.
The Bible is useful for correcting our
fault
6.
The Bible is useful for training in
righteousness
7.
The Bible can thoroughly equipped
any person to do every good work(if one study it regularly, diligently and
prayerfully).
We
must study the Bible daily with prayer. We must consult the Bible whenever we
have a question about a certain matters. We must also see what the Bible says
when we have to make steps or decision in our lives. God will never lead us contrary
to what He has taught in His Word (Titus 1:2).
Hope
you already belongs to God by receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour.
If
not yet, call Jesus Christ in prayer now and receive Him. Then, God will speak
to you whenever you study Bible prayerfully.
God
bless you.
