“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are
perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” ( 1
Corinthians 1:18)
Satan had tried his best to prevent Jesus
but could not save.
God ordained that Jesus would die
criminal death, so that His (Jesus) saving death might include even the worst
criminal. And when Jesus saved all mankind, Satan is crush with all his power
and strength.
Satan fore-knew God’s plan and tried
many times to save Jesus from death but failed. Because, God is all powerful
and Jesus being invincibly obedient to the Father.
When Jesus was on fast to begin
public ministry, Satan persuaded Him not to do ministry as it would lead Him to
the CROSS. Satan tempted Jesus that
being the Son of God, He should not suffer from hungry, do ministry and died
like man. Jesus knew Satan’s trick and did not obey. Satan left Him for another
opportunity.
Satan came again when the time of
Jesus dead was approaching. Satan tried to persuade Jesus not to go toward the
CROSS in the garden of Gethsemane. Jesus won again by accepting the “WILL’ of
the Father.
Then, Satan used Peter and tried to
save Jesus. Peter (Satan inside of Peter) defended Jesus and stroked and cut
the ear of one intruder. Jesus recognized Satan and rebuked ‘Satan’. Don’t
think Jesus was calling Peter as ‘Satan’.
Jesus saw Satan in Peter and scolded him (Satan inside of peter).
Later, in the last Court, Satan
tried to save Jesus again. Satan entered Pilate and defended Jesus saying,
(Satan speaking through Pilate) “I don’t find any guilt to put Him to death”. He means to say that ‘ a sinless person, a
righteous person should not be put to death. But, God spoke from the High
Priest “ it is good that one man die against many people”.
Lastly, Satan spoke through one
criminal on the cross, “If you are Dos’s Son, save yourself and save us, too”.
(This is the same voice in the wilderness when Jesus was on fast, Satan said ‘if
you are God’s Son, turn these stone to bread and eat’”.
Jesus handed over His Spirit to the
Father, said ‘finished’ and died a criminal death.
Jesus finished God’s mission of ‘salvation’
by ‘crushing Satan and his power’ in the CROSS. He (Jesus) came to fulfill and
fulfilled the word of God.
The then (Roman world) CROSS was a
symbol of criminal or crime; a symbol of condemn. Jesus turns CROSS to become
the source of God’s blessing.
Jesus was led to hade (grave) where
countless souls were imprisoned by the power of Satan. God was with Him, as
spoken by David, and raised Him from the dead. Jesus knocked out (opened) the seal (rock door)
of the grave. He rose from the grave and opened the door of Heaven. He went up
to Heaven ahead of all saved soul and seated on the right hand side of Heavenly
Father.
Thus, Jesus became the first soul (first
among human born soul) to reach Heaven through resurrection. The Father handed
over all authority over heaven and earth. He will come again to judge all.
But, all who believed in Him and
received Him as Lord and saviour are already saved and will no longer be
judged. Instead, these believers will judge all unbelievers with Christ.
God has turn CROSS from a symbol of CURSE
to the source of BLESSING. Due to CROSS ( the death of Jesus for sinners), all
believers received the forgiveness of God, the right to become the children of
God, eternal life in Christ and all the blessings of God. Halleluiyah, Amen.
CROSS become a symbol of – ‘VICTORY’.
Christian Church are also use CROSS
to mean the SUFFERING OF JESUS, the DEATH OF JESUS, the VICTORY OF JESUS, the SALVATION
OF JESUS and JESUS CHRIST Himself.
With CROSS the first seed of Eve,
Jesus crushed the head of the Serpent (Satan).
Had Satan succeed in persuading, Jesus
would not have died on the CROSS and would not have crushed the head ( power)
of Satan. Then, salvation for sinners
would not have been possible.
Jesus died on the CROSS for us to
show the love of god for us (Romans 5:8). So that, You and I and all who believed in
Jesus Christ become the children of God (John 1;12), forgiven by God and are
guaranteed with eternal life (John 3:16-17).
Jesus said that one who lost would
gain. That means ‘one who die will live’. Jesus Himself died and live for ever.
He came to save us. To save, He must die. So, He died and saved all who
believed in Him.
If you want to gain, you must lose.
To live, you must die. If you put to
dead your old nature of sinful life, unbelieving nature, you will gain and live
a new life, a new nature; new spiritual life. When you come to Jesus by turning
from sinful life and turning to Him, you will live a new life. Jesus will do
for you as he died in your place. He can do everything.
Hope you have already believed and
received Jesu. If so, tell others about the love of God. Help, guide and lead
them to Jesus that they may also have a blessed life as you have through Jesus
Christ.
If you have not yet received, call
on Jesus in prayer and received Him now.
“For whoever calls on the name of
the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
Confess , secretly in prayer, all your
sin and all the wrong you have done( including the wrong you do, that you still
did not call Him, confess and invite Him). Ask forgiveness. Invite Him to
become your Saviour and Lord of your life. Surrender the control of your life
and ask Him to direct your life pleasing to God.
If you do so, He will forgive you
and make you God’s child. He will give New Life in Christ and bless you with
all the blessings of God. You will become fresh and new, happy in deed.
God bless you.
