Temptation to Receiving the Blessing of God:

We are facing situations to do wrong everyday, even against our conscience. This is because, our spiritual enemy, Satan is always trying to use us against God. This is also called ‘Temptation’.  No man can win spiritual battle against Satan in own strength.
The Apostle Paul instructed us to fight against Satan with the ‘Sword of Spirit’. The ‘Sword of Spirit’ is the ‘Word of God’. The ‘Word of God’ is in the Bible. Jesus had overcome Satan’s temptation by using scripture (see Matthew 4).

The Bible advise us to use the Word of God, saying : “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore take the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace; besides all these, taking the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,” (Ephesians 6:13-18 RSV)
Therefore, be equipped yourself with the ‘full armour of God’ –
Received Jesus Christ for your Lord and saviour and become God’s Child (John 1:12).
Live a new life in Christ by abandoning ungodliness. ,“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God – what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)
Have full faith in God and rely on Him. Read the Bible daily and pray all the time. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God; That if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if he hears us, we know that we have what we asked of him.” (1 John 5:14-15).
Memorize scriptures as much as you can to apply appropriate verses in appropriate time. The Bible will help and guide you in the right direction when you face those temptations. Do this so that you may be able to say “I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” (Psalm 119:11).
Meditate on, and focus your mind on God’s Word all the time. This will to help you understand God’s ways and enable you to apply His principles in your life decisions. This will also help you understand God’s will for you and become more like Christ, which will produce Godly characters in your life such as love, peace, and purity. (Philippians 4:8)
Share the Gospel with others that you may grow in faith and receive spiritual blessings. Jesus gave us eternal life to all who believed in Him. He promised to be with all who share the Gospel. He wants us to tell others so they can be free. How can they believe if no one tells them?
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believer in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” (Romans 10:13-14)
Hope you will receive more and more blessing as you share the Good News, as I have been experiencing by sharing His Good News of Salvation in Christ.
God bless you.
