SATAN FAILED TO PREVENT JESUS

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” ( 1 Corinthians 1:18)

Satan had tried his best to prevent Jesus but could not save.

God ordained that Jesus would die criminal death, so that His (Jesus) saving death might include even the worst criminal. And when Jesus saved all mankind, Satan is crush with all his power and strength.

Satan fore-knew God’s plan and tried many times to save Jesus from death but failed. Because, God is all powerful and Jesus being invincibly obedient to the Father.

When Jesus was on fast to begin public ministry, Satan persuaded Him not to do ministry as it would lead Him to the CROSS.  Satan tempted Jesus that being the Son of God, He should not suffer from hungry, do ministry and died like man. Jesus knew Satan’s trick and did not obey. Satan left Him for another opportunity.

Jesus showed that the most important thing we could do is love.

The Bible says, "The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control." (Galatians 5:22-23).
One time some experts in religious law got together to question Him. "One of them, an expert in the law, tested Him with this question: 'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?'

See, Your King Comes to You

 When Jesus was to enter, He sent two disciples,  saying, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”

This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:

 “Say to Daughter Zion,
    ‘See, your king comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
    and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”

THE KINGDOM OF GOD HAS NO PLACE FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT WASH BY JESUS

Jesus knew the time for His death come. He knew the Father had put all things under his power. He had come from God and was returning to God. So, washed His disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel.  But when Simon Peter said to him,

 “Lord, ….No,……you shall never wash my feet.”

Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”

 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” ( John 13:3-9)

When my Lord Jesus helped understand the meaning as I read these verses, I screamed silently as if speaking to Peter and said “ Well said, O Peter, Simon Peter !” and prayed to Lord Jesus,

“Lord, was me too, wash all my body and soul, wash me with your precious blood”

Then, I felt comfort and joy in my deepest heart and praise the Lord.

ONE MAN’S DEATH IS EVERY MAN’S GUARANTEE :

Life on earth is hard. Wars, violence, suffering and death continue to happen. All keep hoping for peace but wars and violence kept coming. No human effort to build a better world can guarantee lasting peace. Hope for a “new world” must rest in God, not man. Death is man’s legacy; life is God’s.

PRAYER FOR WORKERS AND THE FIELD

“And he(Jesus) said to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." (Luke 10:2 ).

Jesus asks His followers (Christians) to pray for workers in His mission of spreading the Gospel.  We should pray God to help His workers success in their work and their well being. Besides, we should also ask God to open the heart of the people who still do not know, help them believe and receive Jesus Christ for their Lord and Saviour.

A person who read the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation have better understanding of God’s word, meaning of life and problem. He will also enjoy the love of God and His blessings better than others. He will live a God’s guidance life with peace of mind and good moral life.

Reading the Bible daily will :
1) give you more and more understanding of God’s love for you.
2) grow your faith in God
3) help you have a better relationship with God
4) keep you save from many sins.
5) give you wisdom and understanding
6) help you have a better relationship with others
7) give you a growing enjoyment of God’s blessings,
8) give you inner peace and joy,

Give Time to Spen With God Everyday

Spending some time alone with God in Bible reading and prayer everyday.

Jesus says, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

JESUS CHRIST IS SAVIOUR KING

Jesus Christ came to the world and has saved countless souls. He has changed the world and transformed living standards of almost all the people of the world. This is possible because, Jesus is  the Son of God, who was incarnated and died on the cross to become our Savior. He has risen from the dead and will return to bring all who believe in Him some day.  

Know this :

Be a True Christian and Receive the Blessing of God :

There are many Christian in the world. Christian is the largest population in the world. But most Christians are nominal Christian. They become Christian because they are born from Christian parents or live in Christian society.
A Christian, according to the Bible, is :
1. one among “….children of God.” (John 1:12);
2. one who believed and follows Jesus Christ.
3. “… the disciples of Jesus Christ.” (Acts 11: 26);
4. one who accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour, have been born again spiritually  and “….have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

One can not become Christian in his/her effort. Only God can make one Christian.

Jesus Died On the Cross for Our Sins

Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

Jesus is the only Way to have relationship with God, the Father in Heaven. He is the Truth and the Life. To know Jesus means knowing the Truth about everything. To have Jesus is to have Life. Not having Jesus means not knowing the Truth, not having Life and not having God in Heaven.

Jesus died on the Cross for our salvation, that we may have relation with God in Heaven. This is the love of God display by Jesus Christ.

God is Always With Believers

When you received Jesus in your life you have New Life in Christ. But even then, you will have time to be doubtful of your new life or salvation. Temptation will make you to doubt and frustrate sometimes. You may feel weak and all alone. In such situation, remind of yourself the promises of our Lord Jesus Christ that He is always with you. He knows our weakness and need help. He, therefore, promise to send the Holy Spirit to help, guide and comfort us.(John 14:16).

GOD LOVES YOU AND GIVES YOU LIFE

God created man and woman in His image and blessed them(Genesis 1:27-28) .But they did not obey God. This disobedience to God’s word is called sins in the Bible. Thus, all their descendants  become sinner - All of us do, say or think against the will of God. Therefore, we deserve to be punished for sin. But God loves us and sent His Son, Jesus Christ to save us from eternal condemnation. Jesus died on the cross for our sins.

GLORIFY GOD IN YOUR LIFE

God created us to glorify Him in everything we do: in worship, in relationships, and our work.

 “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1-2)

Trust in the LORD with All Your Heart

My son, do not forget my teaching,but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.
Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.

Temptation to Receiving the Blessing of God:

We are facing situations to do wrong everyday, even against our conscience. This is because, our spiritual enemy, Satan is always trying to use us against God. This is also called ‘Temptation’.  No man can win spiritual battle against Satan in own strength.

The Apostle Paul instructed us to fight against Satan with the ‘Sword of Spirit’. The ‘Sword of Spirit’ is the ‘Word of God’. The ‘Word of God’ is in the Bible. Jesus had overcome Satan’s temptation by using scripture (see Matthew 4).

Forgive Yourself and Live a Joyous Life:

When you received Jesus Christ for your Lord and saviour, God has forgiven you of all your sins. He wants you to live a joyous life that the Holy Spirit is in you to help you always in Jesus name.

God wants you forget about your past sins and forgive yourself. He wants you live a new, joyous life in Christ. Jesus says, “Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me.” (John 14:1)

This means, ‘Live a happy and joyous life” by relying on Him that He loves and cares for you.

 He wants you concentrate with His instructions and promises for you in the Bible. The Bible says

You Can Become God’s Child:

The Bible tells us,“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12).

Have you accepted God’s forgiveness offered to you through Jesus’ death on the cross? 

You Can Have Peace and Enjoy Life :

You have body and soul. Your body has limited life on earth and will die some day. But your soul will not die when your body died. Your soul will have another life. When your body died, your soul will leave your body and will go to any one of two places – heaven or hell.
‘Heaven’ is the place where God live, His angels and children with eternal peace and joy.
 ‘Hell’ is a place of punishment, a lake of fire and is where Satan and all his followers will be punished for ever in the lake of fire.
You have life on earth now with your body. This is a preparation period for your next life. You have to prepare for your next life, which is eternal. You need to live life pleasing to God so that you may go to heaven.

GOD WANTS YOU TO BE HOLY

God is Holy. Man is sinner, filthy, far from holy.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God or God the Son. Therefore, Jesus Christ is Holy.

God gives the Holy Spirit to all who received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

The Holy Spirit is God and is Holy.

When the Holy Spirit lives in believer, after receiving Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord, the believer become the temple of God ( as the Holy Spirit lives in him).

The Bible tells us, “Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?”  (1 Corinthians 3:16)

When God lives in a place, the place become Holy, the Holy place of God.

GOD HELP THOSE WHO SEEK HIS HELP

God created man and give freedom to choose the way he will live. It is up to you whether to live with God or to live without God.  He helps all who seek His divine help.

God is the source of life, health, wealth, knowledge and everything. Without God, we can do nothing even to satisfy our wants. To get God’s help, we must live a life that pleases God.

Turn from evil and do good

Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. . (Psalm 37:27-28a)

Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed; the offspring of the wicked will perish.  The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever. . (Psalm 37:28b-29)

YOU CAN RELATE WITH GOD ONLY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST

All people are unworthy to relate with God. Because, God is Holy and man is filthy, sinful.

God is love. Man do not love God as God love him. Man can not even love his own father, mother and children as god love us.

This lack of God’s quality in man is due to sin in man.

PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS PERSON :

“the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (James 5:16), thus says the Bible.

Who is ‘Righteous’?

No person on earth is righteous before God’s eyes. But God loves us and count the believers of His Son Jesus Christ as ‘Righteous’. God imputed the ‘Righteousness of Jesus Christ’ on believers.

Therefore, God answer the prayer of all true believers of Jesus Christ.

GOD WANTS TO HELP YOU

God created you to relate with and glorify Him. To live with God, you must know His will and obey Him in every way.Jesus said, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him” (John 14:23).
