John the Baptist says, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” (Matthew 3:2) This means to be in the Kingdom of God one must repent and confess sin, as in verse 5-6“ People went out to him 6 Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him.”
Without repentance, confessing sin (as vs 7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming, he said to them: “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?) all are children of Sin, Satan, Serpent that led Adam and Eve to sin. As such, one must “ 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance” by repenting and confessing sin. None can enter Heaven by doing good work, by being good person and by the child of Godly people(“ 9 do not think, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.” )
Every one that does not repent and confess by be condemned ( 10 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.)
Preaching, hearing, listening and baptizing with water is for repentence. And when after doing all necessary pre-conditions, such as listen God’s word, repent, confess and get baptized, Jesus will give us the Holy Spirit (11 “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”)
Anybody who does not have the Holy Spirit will be condemned eternally.( 12 His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”) (Matthew 3:1-12)
Thank God saying ‘Amen’ if you have already done pre-conditions and have the Holy Spirit. If not, do it now by calling on Jesus Christ. May God be with you always.
