Last Sunday, I was selected
to teach the Youth group in Sunday School. I went and began the class, saying,
“You are young and innocent. You believe most
people good and almost everything enjoyable. As you grow, you will find the negative
side of life.” Boys and girls stared at me quietly with interest. I continued,
“In old Hindi movie, when
danger is going to happen, a sound is played ‘tron…tron’. I don’t know if they
are doing these days”. Almost all of them shook head. Then, I continued,
“As you grow in age, you
will find your best friend betray you. You will find even boyfriend or
girlfriend is not as you expect him or her to be……’tron….tron…!!!’, you will be
shocked….’tron…tron….!!!”
All eyes were cute and
excited. None look down or other side. All looked at me. I thanked God in my
heart.I continued,
“’The book, ‘Numbers’ in
the Bible deals with ‘life in the wildernest’. It records the ups and downs of
life faced by the Israelite. God recorded all these for us to read and learn
how to face difficulties in our live on earth. So, study this ‘Number’ before
you are matured so that you can live a successful life even when you face
problems in life, with your boyfriend or girlfriend or in any situation.”
All shooked head, looked at
each other and then at me. (Let me cut short here)
Jesus says, “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into
temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)
So, let’s always pray in every situation. Always call
on our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to be with us always and help us always.
