Believers Become New Creations in Christ

God’s word, the Bible says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Theologians says that two Greek words neos’ and ‘kainos’ are translated “new” in the Bible. ‘neos’ means ‘something that has just been made, though many such things are already in existence’. Whereas, ‘kainos’ means “something just made which is unlike anything else in existence.”

‘New’ in the above verse is ‘kainos’. This means, we are made an entirely new creation in Christ. God created us out of nothing as He has created the heavens and the earth out of nothing. He does not merely clean up our old selves, but He makes an entirely new self.
When we received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, God forgive our sin and makes us ‘new creation’. We have new life, not in our strength but given by God. I invited Jesus and He saved my health  and life and changed me. Many persons praise me, but I always say, “Jesus saved me”. I did nothing to change my life. I confined at home for some weeks. But, I have to work and earn. So, I went out and found the change in me. When I met old friends they say “you become so changed” and they treated me in a changed manner, though I did not tell them any. I saw with my eyes what I used to take much interest, my heart no more saw, my hands no longer stretched out to reach. I found out the changes in me. Old friends left and new friends come. Within a few months, I totally believed my Lord and Saviour is working in me and fear vanish. Jesus changed my environment and is changing me. I believe He will continue to change me and will one day totally transformed me to be with Him eternally. To understand what I say, please read Ephesians 2:1-10:
“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,  in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler(Satan) of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.  All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath(of God).  But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,  made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions —it is by grace you have been saved.  And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,  in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:1-10)
In old nature we could not understand the things of the spirit as it was spiritually dead, “dead in our transgressions and sins”.  God gives us a completely new nature when we received His Son Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour. Our old nature was dead and raised with Jesus and gives us this new life. Then, God gives us the Holy Spirit, who lives in us and helps us “to walk in newness of life” with Christ(Romans 6:4).
Remember, our old nature still is working in us but could no longer control us as Jesus always help us. (I will post about this later)
Hope you have become a truly ‘new creation’ in Christ, by having invite Him into your life and received Him. Read the Bible daily and always pray so that you may grow in faith. Also pray for those who are still in old sinful life. Tell them about Jesus and His saving grace. Bring them to Christ. But if you still have not yet received, please call on Jesus Christ now. If you need guidance, send me message.

God bless you.
