To live a peaceful life, Our Spirit need God’s Spirit. Lest, our spirit never give us mental peace. Because, our spirit knows life beyond sphysical death. Our physical body will die and decay but our spirit will live forever. He will live a peaceful life with God if he has relationship with God’s Spirit. Or he will get eternal punishment in hell.
Our spirit knows aabout the future eternal life. This present life will decide the future life. So, our spirit never give us peace of mind until we have relationship with God.
To receive the Spirit of God, one must receive ‘the forgiveness of God’. To receive the forgiveness of God, we need repentance. To repent, we need to recognize our sin.
When we recognize our sin and humbly confess our sin to God, God forgive us and give us His Spirit, ‘the Holy Spirit’.
When ‘the Holy Spirit’ lives in us, we become the ‘children of God’ ( John 1:12).
Then, our spirit rejoice with God’s Spirit and we have true peace of mind.
The fact is :
We all think, act and live against the will of God. This is sin. God knows us very well. That’s why the Bible says, “All have sin and become short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)
”If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” (I John1:8-9)
Believe God and believe what His word says in the Bible. Accept that you are sinner. Confess in prayer that you are sinner and ask God to forgive you.
Pray, “Lord, please forgive me. I am a sinner. I need You to control and direct my life. Be my Lord and Saviour. In Jesus name, Amen”
If you pray like this, you will be what Jesus says, ”this sinner, returned home justified before God” (Luke 18:14).
Remember, ”The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart…” (Psalm 51:17) God loves a humble heart.
Now, thank God for His forgiveness. Ask Lord Jesus Christ to give you the Holy Spirit to help you live a godly life.
