Many people did not know Jesus was the Son of God. Demons
knew Him. Jesus need not say anything to them, but demons could not bear the
presence of Jesus Christ.

“What do you want with us, Son of God?” they
shouted.
“Have you come here
to torture us before the appointed time?”
Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was
feeding.
The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into
the herd of pigs.”
He (Jesus) said to them, “Go!”
So they(demons) came out (from the two men) and went into
the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died
in the water.
Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and
reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed
men.
Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they
saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region.” (Matthew 8:28-34 NIV)
Men could not see the glory of God in Jesus Christ when He
walked on earth as man (God-man). Demons saw the glory of God in Jesus Christ.
Demons could not live where there was Jesus. They knew Jesus came to destroy
the work of Satan and his demons. They were afraid of Jesus. They obeyed the
commands of Jesus Christ and left the two men they had been torturing as Jesus
commanded them to leave.
The two men became free from demons.
The people there saw in their eyes that the two
demon-possessed men. They should have to be glad and rejoice in the Lord. Instead,
they wanted Jesus to leave their area.
Brothers and Sisters, we all are like those people who asked
Jesus to go away, not knowing Jesus is the Son of God and the giver of life. We
always hear His Gospel message and He is always present among us, in the spirit.
But, many persons never invited Him and pray to Him. Even those who know Jesus
is the Son of God; and pray to Him often but never invited Him to be his Lord
and Saviour, to control their life.
Jesus loves you. He know you still did not receive Him out
of ignorance. He wants to give you true life, everlasting life. He has given us
His words in the Bible that we may know what He wants us to be. He desires you
to read the Bible and know what is His plan for you. He tells us in the Bible
that He is coming to you now and say,
“I am the Living One; I was dead, and
now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I
hold the keys of death and Hades.” (Revelation 1:18)
“Those
whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So
be earnest and repent.
Here
I am! I stand at the door and
knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I
will come in and
eat with that person, and they with me.
To
the one who is victorious, I
will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just
as I was victorious and
sat down with my Father on his throne.” (Revelation 3: 19-21)
Jesus
is knocking the door of you heart. Open your heart for Him. Invite Him to enter
your hear. Pray and ask to forgive you. Invite Him to become your Lord and
Saviour.
Ask
Him to control and direct your life. Thank Him that He died to save you. Thank
God for His promise to give you eternal life through Jesus Christ. Ask God to
give you the Holy Spirit, to help you overcome sin and temptation in Jesus
name.
Rely
on Jesus and entrust Him to lead you a victorious life. Have full faith in God
and His words in the Bible. Study the bible daily and follow the teachings of
Jesus Christ in the Bible. Always pray and live a good life as the Holy Spirit
guides you to live a worthy life as God’s child.

Jesus Christ be with you always in the
Holy Spirit as He promised us, saying,
“…..surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”
(Matthew 28:20)
