“Do not love the world or anything in
the world. If
anyone loves the world, love for the Father is
not in them. For
everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the
lust of the eyes, and
the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The
world and its desires pass away, but
whoever does the will of God lives
forever.” (1 John 2 :15-17NIV)
The ‘world’ here means ‘ungodliness’. Life without God is
‘worldliness’. Any one who does not have Jesus Christ, whose life is not
control by His Spirit is ‘ungodly’.
Therefore, ‘do the will of God’, which means receive His
beloved Son Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. Surrender your life
and everything to Him. Ask Him to control and direct your life through the Holy
Spirit. Then the Holy Spirit will help you live a godly life and God will bless
you abundantly.
