Your King Is Coming

Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
Jesus came to Jerusalem as King. The people of Israel, even His disciples thought He would become King of Israel that day, to free the people from the rule of the Roman Emperor.
As He entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Hosannain the highest heaven!” (Matthew 21:6-11. Also read Luke 19:28-40)

( Remember : 1. Hebrew word “Hosanna” means “Save!”. The people demanded of Him to save the Israelite from Romans rule.
2. Cloak or cloths represent ‘dresses’, signify ‘the mind, thinking, heart, character and nature’ of man.
3. The leaves of tree the people used on that day was ‘Palm tree leaves’. Hence, ‘Palm Sunday’.
‘Leaf of Palm tree’ was used that time as a symbol of victory.)

Jesus came riding on donkey. No King ever rides on slow and weaker animals like donkey. The kings of the world ride on fast and strongest animals like horses and Elephant and fought battles.
Jesus riding on donkey means He was not to fight worldly battles and His Kingdom is not worldly kingdom.
The Kingdom of God’, Jesus preached was not worldly kingdom but God’s Rule in the heart of every believers.
When you believe in God and receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, Jesus rule in your heart. He becomes the King of your life. You obey your King, Jesus and His teachings:

“Believe in the only One True God and His Son Jesus Christ. Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and obey Him.

Love God and His children, Love your fellows. Love your neigbours as you love yourself.
Love your enemies and pray for them.
Tell others the Love of God, His saving grace through Jesus Christ. Help them that they may know God and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and obey Him as their King.

First of all, receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Call on Him in prayer. Humble yourself, open your heart and lay low as the people on that day lay their cloths on the road. Then, Jesus will enter your heart. He will win the sin in you. He will change  all your bad and old nature to new good habits and new nature. He will make your a ‘Winner’ ‘Conqueror’, ‘victorious over sin’.

Today, Jesus come to you as your king. Receive Him for your King – Lord and Saviour.

May God bless you.
