SATAN FAILED TO PREVENT JESUS

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” ( 1 Corinthians 1:18)

Satan had tried his best to prevent Jesus but could not save.

God ordained that Jesus would die criminal death, so that His (Jesus) saving death might include even the worst criminal. And when Jesus saved all mankind, Satan is crush with all his power and strength.

Satan fore-knew God’s plan and tried many times to save Jesus from death but failed. Because, God is all powerful and Jesus being invincibly obedient to the Father.

When Jesus was on fast to begin public ministry, Satan persuaded Him not to do ministry as it would lead Him to the CROSS.  Satan tempted Jesus that being the Son of God, He should not suffer from hungry, do ministry and died like man. Jesus knew Satan’s trick and did not obey. Satan left Him for another opportunity.

Jesus showed that the most important thing we could do is love.

The Bible says, "The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control." (Galatians 5:22-23).
One time some experts in religious law got together to question Him. "One of them, an expert in the law, tested Him with this question: 'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?'

See, Your King Comes to You

 When Jesus was to enter, He sent two disciples,  saying, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”

This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:

 “Say to Daughter Zion,
    ‘See, your king comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
    and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”

THE KINGDOM OF GOD HAS NO PLACE FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT WASH BY JESUS

Jesus knew the time for His death come. He knew the Father had put all things under his power. He had come from God and was returning to God. So, washed His disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel.  But when Simon Peter said to him,

 “Lord, ….No,……you shall never wash my feet.”

Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”

 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” ( John 13:3-9)

When my Lord Jesus helped understand the meaning as I read these verses, I screamed silently as if speaking to Peter and said “ Well said, O Peter, Simon Peter !” and prayed to Lord Jesus,

“Lord, was me too, wash all my body and soul, wash me with your precious blood”

Then, I felt comfort and joy in my deepest heart and praise the Lord.

ONE MAN’S DEATH IS EVERY MAN’S GUARANTEE :

Life on earth is hard. Wars, violence, suffering and death continue to happen. All keep hoping for peace but wars and violence kept coming. No human effort to build a better world can guarantee lasting peace. Hope for a “new world” must rest in God, not man. Death is man’s legacy; life is God’s.

PRAYER FOR WORKERS AND THE FIELD

“And he(Jesus) said to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest." (Luke 10:2 ).

Jesus asks His followers (Christians) to pray for workers in His mission of spreading the Gospel.  We should pray God to help His workers success in their work and their well being. Besides, we should also ask God to open the heart of the people who still do not know, help them believe and receive Jesus Christ for their Lord and Saviour.
