Jesus said to His followers,
“ ‘You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)
The moment you received Jesus Christ for your Lord and Saviour, become Christian. Then, you become the follower of Jesus Christ. You become the light of the world.
The world here include ‘amidst unbelievers’. As a Christian you are witness of Christ. You live among the non-believers. You must live a Christian life , Christ like nature – God fearing, good character, good work, patient, humble, love others, etc. When have Christ-like nature, people will see your good nature and will praise the Lord. They may also receive Jesus Christ when they find Christians are good people.
Therefore, do good to others. Love and help them in your capacity and pray that God may bless you to be able to help others.
