One of the strongest desires human beings have is to be loved, to be accepted, and to feel that they belong. We want a sense of connection and belonging to something or someone. We want to feel valuable. We cannot be guaranteed of always getting that in our dealings with people, but we can get it from God. Even though God knows everything about us – and I do mean everything – He still chooses us on purpose. According to Ephesians 1:4, He actually picked us out on purpose to be His very own and to belong to Him. I encourage you to say aloud, right now, “I belong to God.”
God set us apart for Himself and made provision in Jesus for us to be holy, blameless, and consecrated. We can live before Him in love without reproach. That means we do not have to feel guilty and bad about all of our weaknesses and faults. You and I are no surprise to God. He knew exactly what He was getting when He chose us. God did not choose us and then become disappointed because of our inabilities. God has hope for us, and He believes in us and is working in us [through the power of the Holy Spirit] to help us be all that He has in His plan for us.
I encourage you to relax in God’s love. Learn to receive God’s love. Think about it, thank Him for it, and watch for the manifestation of it in your daily life. God shows His love for us in many ways, but we often are unaware of it. He loves us first, so we can love Him and other people. God never expects us to give away something that He has not first given us. His love is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit and He wants us to live before Him in love.
Let love in and let it out. You are destined to be a channel for God to flow through, and not a reservoir that merely sits and collects things. You are special and God has a special plan for you. Get excited about that and rejoice.”
Now say aloud, “God, the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, loves me! God, the Almighty God, Who created the heavens, the earth, the seas, and all they contain, loves me! God the Father loves me so much that He gave His only-begotten Son to suffer and die in my place. God the Son loves me so much that He left the glory of heaven, became man, and died to pay for my sins. God the Holy Spirit loves me so much that He lives within me. God loves me so much that He has given me the priceless gift of eternal life.
Since God loves me so much, I can trust Him to bring His plans for my life into being, in His timing.
God bless you.
