When we received Jesus
Christ as your Lord and Saviour, God accepted us as His adopted child. When we become
God’s child through Jesus Christ, we must live life worthy to be called ‘the
children of God’ (John 1:12)
Jesus knows our weakness
as human being. Jesus once said “The
spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41a).
Jesus, therefore, promised that God
will send the Holy Spirit to help us live a Godly life. He says, “But you will receive power when the Holy
Spirit comes on you; and
you will be my witnesses in
Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and
to the ends of the earth.” ” (Acts 1:8)
Jesus wants that we ask for the Holy Spirit, when He says : “….your
Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11 :13b)
Therefore, always pray and ask God to give you the Holy Spirit
to help you everyday and in every situation, live a Godly life worthy to be
called God’s child.
