Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King

God bless you, friends. You become God’s child as Jesus died for us, for which God forgives all our sin against Him, just when we accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour,  accepting the dead of Jesus has paid the penalty we would have to pay. Hope you will join the celebration of ‘Palm Sunday’ this Sunday, to remember the tramphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem more than 2000 years ago. Please attend the nearest Church service in your locality or if there is no such church service where you are – invite some friends and hold prayer service on the coming Sunday.
You know, Jesus’ riding into Jerusalem was to make public His claim to be their Messiah and King of Israel in fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy,
“Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” (Zechariah 9:9)
Jesus rides into His capital city as a conquering King and is hailed by the people as such, in the manner of the day. The streets of Jerusalem, the royal city, are open to Him, and like a king, He ascends to His palace, not a temporal palace, but the spiritual palace which is the temple, because His is a spiritual kingdom. He receives the worship and praise of the people because only He deserves it. No longer does He tell His disciples to be quiet about Him (Matthew 12:16, 16:20), but to shout His praises and worship Him openly. The spreading of cloaks was an act of homage for royalty (see 2 Kings 9:13). Jesus was openly declaring to the people that He was their King and the Messiah they had been waiting for.
Jesus enters into the life of one who receive Him as Lord and Saviour. That person “Rejoice in the Lord always” ,which no one or nothing can stopped but continue to rejoice, continue to thank God and spread the ‘Good News of Salvation in Jesus Christ’.
Friend, “Rejoice in the Lord!” as you become ‘Zion” -  dwelling place of the Lord that the Holy Spirit is in you since you become God’s child as you have accepted Jesus for your Lord and Saviour.  Jesus become you king and your spirit rejoice in the Lord, praising Jesus. This joyful singing of song, prayer and preaching of Jesus can not be stopped by anybody. The saved people in Jesus is so clear that they can not keep quiet but continue to praise the Lord. They continue to thank God. They continue to spread the word of God.
When Pharisees asked Jesus to rebuke the shouting disciples, Jesus answered that if these people can stop shouting the stones will shout. This means, it is impossible to keep the believers or saved people of Jesus Christ. No one can stop them from praising the Lord.
I hope, you are also saved person, forgiven person and become God’s child that your joy “Rejoice in the Lord” ca not be stopped by any body or be anything.
Please read this with prayer in the name of Jesus and receive the blessing of God – ‘
:Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King :  After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them,  “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
They replied, “The Lord needs it.”
They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it.  As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.
When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”
“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.  They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.” (Luke 19:28-44)
Write ‘Amen’ if you “Rejoice in the Lord’ and praise His name. May God bless you.
