God Wants You To Enjoy Life In Jesus

1.    Many Christians try to please God. They try to live a good life, give tithe and offerings, help others, and do many good works. The more they do, they found the need to do more and more. Sometimes, they would find themselves doing what God did not want. They get tired trying to live the Christian life. That is not the way God wants you to be. You will never enjoy life with Jesus, if you try to please God by yourself.

2.    God wants you to be happy. He does not demand perfection in you. Nor does He expect you to live a Christian life by yourself. He never expects you to meet His Holy standards. If God ever thought that you could please Him by yourself, He wouldn’t have come to earth to die for you. But He came.

3.    Jesus said to the crowds, “You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

So, it is true that God’s laws, His commands, require perfection. And if we were to be accepted by God based on living up to his commands, we would have to be perfect. No wonder Jesus came to save us from the penalty of our sins!

4.    God is aware of the gap between his perfection and your sinfulness. Even as Christians, there is a constant tension within us to try to close that gap, so that we feel more comfortable, so that we feel closer to God. Some will try to close the gap by trying to lower God’s standards: “God doesn’t really mean…” Others will try to close the gap by trying to raise their performance: “I’ll try harder…”

Rumour Spreads Like A Roaring Lion

This morning it was learnt that people were busy collecting ‘salt’ from ‘shops’. They said “there will no salt in the market. The rate is rising to Rs.100/- per kg in the market and is now not available. Only village small shops in village level have old stock.”
My wife rang me up and said “I got 2kg at Rs.50/- per kg. here”. I replied, “Don’t purchase” and off the phone. Later, announcement was heard from DIPRO that it was rumour. It is learnt that many shops have sold salt at Rs.100/- per kg and many persons have purchased and are storing in stock.
Rumor spreads so fast. Rumour once made our land cause bloodshed with ethnic violence. Rumour is temptation for every body. We must stand against such rumour.
The Bible says , “…Stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].”( Galatians 5:1)
Temptation is part of everyday life. We experienced temptation to sin in a variety of ways.
We are tempted to stay angry at something or someone and take revenge for small wrong done by others.
We are tempted to give up our daily reading of the Bible and prayer and to do wrong , to act against our believe.
We are tempted to worry or complain about small matters and live a gloomy life.
We are tempted to forget our promises to help others and not keep our word to someone who are depending on us.
Temptation is endless. Temptation itself is not sin. Temptation leads one to sin if he or she acted according to the temptation. We must stand fast and resist temptation. Daily read the Bible and always pray. God gives us self-control that we may control ourselves not to do wrong when we are tempted.
Remember : Jesus Christ is your Lord and Saviour. Jesus Christ not only saved you from the past sin and from the power of sin. He also saved you from all your wrong. He will also save you from doing wrong, making wrong decision and entering trouble. Call You Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in prayer and ask Him to save you from making wrong decision when you have to take promt decision. Seek His help not to do wrong and save you from every problem.

The Power of the Bible

Jesus told him, "The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4 Jesus responded, "The Scriptures also say, 'You must not test the Lord your God.'" Matthew 4:7 "Get out of here, Satan," Jesus told him. "For the Scriptures say, 'You must worship the Lord your God and serve only Him.'" Matthew 4:10

In the Beginning

God has made an amazing universe. We read that "the Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born. ... When He spoke, the world began! It appeared at His command" (Psalm 33:6, 9). In His account of the Good News, Jesus' friend John declared, "In the beginning, the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone" (John 1:1-4). Jesus was no ordinary man, but actually took part in creating the universe.

Power of the Word

God's people had been told long ago about the power of His Word: "'It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it'" (Isaiah 55:11). Because of that power, God knows all about everything He has made: "the Word of God is alive and powerful. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all Creation is hidden from God. And He is the one to Whom we are accountable" (Hebrews 4:12-13).

Trust in the Word

The Apostle Paul taught the young pastor Timothy the importance of being grounded in Scripture: "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right" (2 Timothy 3:16). Therefore, we rejoice in knowing that "The instructions of the Lord are perfect, the decrees of the Lord are trustworthy. The laws of the Lord are true; they are more desirable than gold" (Psalm 19).

When Jesus Moves Who Is Here To Stop Him!

God Loves every body. Not only ‘You’ and ‘Me’ – but ALL.

The GOSPEL is the message of ‘GOD’s LOVE FOR ALL’.

God wants every body to know His Love and receive His Love that He may bless them.

God wants every believer to tell about ‘His Love For All’ to all who still do not know about God’s Love.

God used anybody He likes to tell others about ‘His Love For All’. He doesn’t care whether he is educated, illiterate, rich, poor; healthy, handicap. He can do, give, or change anything He likes. He can transform anything He likes. He employed any person and used any means. He can give any means.

Jesus came and walked through out Palestine, preaching the ‘Love of God’ (Gospel). In His last days on earth, He commanded His Disciples (including all His followers) to ‘Go and preach the Gospel’ throughout the world.  He did not say how the eleven Disciples could go through out the world. He knew ‘how to’. 

Those days, the communication system was preaching through mouth (verbal) and one could travel only on foot, by boat or on tamed animals like horse, camels, etc. Only few miles could have been travel. The best way to travel to far away places might have been ‘Boat’. So, the Apostles and others travelled and preached as far as they could. That was possible as

He ENABLED them to do! (Praise the Lord!)

God can ‘enable’ anybody He likes.

When God say something, He must fulfill what He already spoken out.

The Gospel must reach every people on earth.

 But man has limited capacity, limited means.

God knows everything! He can do everything. God can ‘enable’ anybody He likes.

God gave special knowledge to selected persons and helped them invent Printing Press to print the Gospel. Then, the Bible was printed out to be distributed among people of far and near. Means on better travelling became ‘a genuine requirement’.

HAVE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

1.    God is the Creator of every created beings. He is all powerful, present everywhere and knows everything. By living with Him, we have no problem in life and eternal life with Him. So, try to have relationship with Him. We can have  relationship with God by prayer:

 “God, I ask you to speak to me through your Word, the Bible. Speak to my heart to understand what you want to say to me. Amen.”

The Bible says that we get into relationship with God by receiving Jesus :  “Yet to all who received Him [Jesus], to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1: 12)

Help People Find God

God’s love is amazing. He loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ to save us from the bondage of sin and eternal condemnation. Jesus promises to give ‘eternal life’ to all who believed in Him and received Him as Lord and Saviour. Jesus calls all people to “a repentance that leads to salvation” (2 Corinthians 7:10, ESV).

 “This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:3–4).

Many people have already responded His calling and many lives have already been completely transformed by the power of the Gospel. Hope you are one among them. If not yet, call on Him and receive Him today.

We find ungodliness floods our land. Moral decline has become normal. We see killing, theft, dishonesty, greed, and open immorality everywhere. Many flaunt what they do and even demand public approval. But this is no cause for despair as we have the Son of God, Jesus to help us.

Jesus came to the world to find and save sinners. He called them to Himself and redeemed all who respond.

The Bible says, “Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more” (Romans 5:20).

According to the Bible, Zacchaeus was a corrupt tax collector, notorious for abusing his authority and cheating on a grand scale. Jesus found him, loved him, and went to his house. Zacchaeus responded in open repentance and faith. Then and there, Jesus announced his salvation. This can happen to you and to others who hear the call of Jesus.

If you have already been saved, help others to hear the Gospel. Tell them. Share them the good news. Invite them to listen and read the preaching of Gospel by God’s people. Pray for them that they may respond to the call.

Pray for non-believers in and around of you. Pray for your friends. Pray also for those who respond to the Gospel, that they will grow strong in their faith.

The Holy Spirit is will help us

When someone accepts God's gift of forgiveness of sin and salvation through Jesus Christ, they "will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 1:8; 2:38). 

The Holy Spirit aids us in turning our lives toward God: "those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit... letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace" (Romans 8:5-6).

As Jesus's followers, we are instructed to take God's message of forgiveness and salvation "to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8). 

Like the Apostles, we are not expected to do God's work by ourselves. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit "will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13). 

Be sure God is in your Life

If we invite Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Saviour, He promise us to enter our lives.

He says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20)

If you have open the door of your heart and invite Jesus into your life, He will surely enter your life and will always be with you.

The Bible says,  “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” ( I John 5:14)

Jesus said, “All that the Father gives me will come to me; and him who comes to me I will not cast out.” (John 6:37)

Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” (John 10:27-29)

Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so that we can have relationship with Him. Jesus took our sins on Himself and covered us with His righteousness, making us fully forgiven and fully accepted by Him. We don’t have to first live good lives, or perform religious rituals, or spend years begging Him. God is the one who made it possible for us to have a relationship with Him. And we come to Him based on what He did for us, rather than what we can do. He paid for our sins, in order to forgive us and come into our lives. The Bible says, “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.” (I Peter 3:18)

When a person asks Jesus into their life, it is exciting to know what God says is now true about your relationship with God:

Share Jesus with everyone

God loves everyone. He "wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth" (1 Timothy 2:4). He loves the whole world and "does not want anyone to be destroyed" (2 Peter 3:9). 

We must Love with God's Love. We must pray for friends that they may be saved"(Romans 10:1), communicate God's love to them, "showing [ourselves] to be [His] disciple" (John 15:8)

Write about God and His Salvation on social media, such as face book. Think of these friends when we write posts that could appeal to them. Pray that what they read will make them realize that God could be real and that they will want to learn more about the One Who loves them more than anyone.

We must live with God's Love. The Bible says  “Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.”Colossians 4:5-6

As Christians, we want to share God's love, especially with people we care about. We should "live such good lives among the [non-Believers] that... they may see your good deeds and glorify God" (1 Peter 2:12). We must pray to be guided by the Holy Spirit when we approach our unsaved friends, so we can "be very careful how [we] live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity" (Ephesians 5:15-16).

Let us remember, it’s not our actions or prayer that make the difference. It’s what God does through our prayer and action that changes lives. Jesus pointed out to the 72 disciples in Luke 10:1-24 that they should not be prideful of what happened through their work, but instead to rejoice that their names are written in heaven. And so should we.

Resurrection of Jesus is believers assurance

The Lord Jesus Christ said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die" (John 11:25-26). 
Good Friday, when we remember the cruel death of Jesus Christ on the cross, is a day that man made because of sin. But Resurrection Sunday is God’s Day. He made it. Only the power of God could have raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Man’s deepest yearnings for life, power, and hope find fulfillment in the meaning of Easter. Resurrection speaks of life.
