1. What is Sin?

The word sin translates a Greek word which means ―missing the mark or ―to do wrong. It describes the distance between where an arrow lands and the bull‘s eye of the intended target.
Notice how it is used in the following Bible passage.
Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
Romans 3:23 describes Sin as falling ―short of the glory of God. Sin is Man‘s failure to live up to the perfect standard of God. We have all broken God‘s perfect moral law, either in action or in thought. Even our failure to do what we know is right is sin! So there is no one innocent or perfect among us!
Sin’s Results
 Circle the word that describes the result of sin.
Do you believe people who are guilty of violating the moral law (law of goodness or badness of human action/character) should be punished? So does God! Sin brings God‘s judgment of death on all who are guilty of breaking God‘s perfect moral law.

“The soul who sins is the one who will die.” Ezekiel 18:209

May God help you understand His words.
