"Since we are living by
the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our
lives." (Galatians 5:25)
The Holy
Spirit is God here on earth. We cannot see Him with our naked eyes. But God
open the eyes of some chosen persons and enable them see Him in human form with
some purpose.
When Jesus was on earth, He promised to send the Holy Spirit to
help His followers. After He died and then rose from the dead, He appeared to
His Disciples, and instructed them, "Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift He
promised... In just a few days, you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit"
(Acts 1:4-5).
Peter had been so frightened by the
events surrounding the death of Jesus. When a woman said he was one with Jesus,
Peter denied ever having known and been friends with Jesus.
But when the Spirit of God came on Pentecost and
began working through him, Peter became bold enough to address a large gathering.
Witnessing Jesus Christ, Peter told crowd, " God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the
Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. " (Acts 2:32-33).
Because of the powerful witness, "those who believed what Peter said were
baptized and added to the church that day — about 3,000 in all" (Acts 2:41). Three-thousand new Believers of
Jesus in one day -- what a testament to the power of the Spirit!
The Holy Spirit is given by God to
all believers of Jesus Christ. What the Bible says ‘Believer’ is not just who
believe that Jesus is God, but who believed and received Jesus Christ as
personal Lord and Saviour. To such believers God give His Spirit, the Holy
Spirit, to teach about God’s will, help and guide to live Godly life and do
good work, comfort in trouble and testing time.
When the Holy Spirit live in us, we
grow in faith and live good life and leads us toward Christ-like.
Therefore, we must always pray God
to be with us and help us through the Holy Spirit. For that, we must study the
Bible daily and always pray.
Write ‘Amen’ if you commit to do
this way. God bless you.
