BLESSING OF GOD: What does Jesus say about being blessed?

Scripture: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God…..” Matthew 5:3-12
To be blessed by God means having God’s favor and goodness. We often think of blessings as riches, high position, health, and happiness. However, Jesus’ famous words about blessings show us that God has a different definition of being blessed.
Who is Blessed?

WE CAN SHARE THE GOSPEL EVEN WITHOUT SAYING A WORD

Jesus command all believers to tell about the Good News of Salvation in Christ (Matthew 28:18-20) But it is not as easy as telling romantic tales.
You may have the chance to talk about the love of God for us. But they may not want to listen. In such case, you have to find option. And there is one good option.
Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”( John 8:12)
The Bible tells us that we can share the Gospel without saying a word, but in action and behaviour :
“live properly among your unbelieving neighbours. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honourable behaviour, and they will give honour to God” (1 Peter 2:12).
To be able to live a true Christian life, study the Bible daily and always pray. Ask God in prayer to help you through the Holy Spirit  so that you may live a live worthy to be called His child, in action and behaviour.

WAY TO RECEIVE THE TRUE BLESSINGS OF GOD

God loves you and wants to bless you. But you cannot receive His blessings properly due to the following facts:
1.God Created the Universe and Man
In the beginning, God created the universe and everything in it. Lastly, He created man to look after and rule over His creation in His behalf. So, God created man and woman in His image and blessed them. God wants them to have good relation with Him and glorify Him as their Creator, God and Father.

HAVE FULL FAITH AND CONFIDENCE IN GOD

God desires us to have full faith and confidence in Him that we can be able to say with the Psalmist :
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my saviour; My God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.” (Psalm 18:2)
To have such faith and confidence in Him, we need the help of the Holy Spirit, which our Saviour Jesus Christ promised to be given by God. Therefore, always ask God in prayer to give us the Holy Spirit and read the Bible daily.

FACTS ABOUT HOW ONE BECOME CHRISTIAN

Some think Christian missionaries and preachers are converting non-Christians to Christianity. This is not true. No one can convert you, it is only you and God that can make you a Christian.
God did not created man to be like Robot or machine, which need controller to move or do anything.
God created man (you and me and all) and give us freedom to choose. He gives us choice between ‘to choose good or bad’,  ‘Godliness or ungodliness’, ‘eternal life or eternal condemnation’.
When you make a choice, God is to make final declaration and keep you in your chosen position.
If you chose Him, He will help you be liked Him and bless you. On the other hand, if you chose not to be with Him, He will condemn you and banish you from His eternal presence.
Yes, God use man to tell others about His message. Missionaries and preachers are instruments of God to tell you and others about God’s message of God’s love for you and all men and women of the world. But it is you who will make a choice.

FIND PEACE WITH GOD

1. God’s Plan—Peace and Life
God loves you and wants you to experience His peace and life.
The BIBLE says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
2. Our Problem—Separation
Being at peace with God is not automatic, because by nature you are separated from God.
The BIBLE says: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
3. God’s Remedy—The Cross
God’s love bridges the gap of separation between God and you. When Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave, He paid the penalty for your sins.
The BIBLE says: “He personally carried the load of our sins in his own body when he died on the cross” (1 Peter 2:24, tl b).

NATURAL MAN CANNOT UNDERSTAND BUT YOU WILL:

"But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised." (1 Corinthians 2:14)
"The Bible is a difficult Book because it came from the infinite to the finite - from the unlimited, all-powerful God, to limited man. Therefore you cannot understand the Bible as you would understand the writings of Plato or Socrates. You can study the great philosophers with the natural mind, and by diligent application, grasp their profound meanings. If the Bible could be understood by natural man, it would be a natural book, and could not be the Word of God. Since the Bible is from God, and therefore spiritual, before you can receive its teachings, you must be born of the Spirit (John 3:6) and filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). Always approach the Bible praying that the Spirit will be your teacher and will guide you to a better understanding of His Holy Word, or it will remain a difficult, closed book (John 16:12-16)."
When you came to believe in Jesus, confessed your sins to Him, asked Him to forgive you, and to become your Saviour and Lord, among many other blessings, you became born again of the Spirit, and received the Holy Spirit to be your teacher and guide. Why not take a moment now to thank and praise Father God for all His many blessings, to thank and praise Jesus for making it possible for you to become a child of God, and to thank and praise the Holy Spirit for working in your life.

GOD LOVES YOU:

God loves you, and He loves you with a love that you don’t even know anything about, because there is no human love comparable to divine love.
God loves you. He wants to forgive you. He wants to have fellowship with you.
It doesn’t make any difference how far you tried to run from God. He loves you. His eye is on you. He sees you.
God created us in his image, and you as a person are important to God.
“God created mankind in His image.” − Genesis 1:27
The Bible says that God has the hairs of your head numbered. Every moment of your life is watched by God.
“Indeed, the very hairs of head are all numbered.” − Luke 12:7
God is listening, and God loves you. He’s your friend. He’ll put His arm around you, and He understands, and He answers, and He’s sympathetic to your problem.
God loves you, and the Bible says that God sent His Son from heaven to this earth for you. Jesus Christ came to this earth to take your sins upon a cross.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” − John: 3:16
He would’ve died had you been the only person in the whole world. He loves you. Don’t ever forget He loves, loves, loves, loves you.
“God is love.” − 1 John 4:16

Love your neighbour as yourself

“My brothers and sisters, you were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command:
 “Love your neighbour as yourself.”
If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.(Galatians 5:13-15)

FAITH AND REPENTANCE ARE TWO WINGS OF BELIEVER TO HEAVEN

The two great graces essential to a believer in this life are faith and repentance. These are the two wings by which he flies to heaven. Faith and repentance preserve the spiritual life as heat and radical moisture do the natural.
Repentance is never out of season. Repentance is purgative; fear not the working of this pill. Smite your soul, said Chrysostom, smite it; it will escape death by that stroke. How happy it would be if we were more deeply affected with sin, and our eyes did swim in their orb. We may clearly see the Spirit of God moving in the waters of repentance, which though troubled, are yet pure. Moist tears dry up sin and quench the wrath of God.
Repentance is the cherisher of piety, the procurer of mercy. The more regret and trouble of spirit we have first at our conversion, the less we shall feel afterwards.
Christians, do you have a sad resentment of other things and not of sin?
